Hello Ron,
In Charlotte Harbor you can find All American Covered Boat Storage. Secure, Professional, Reasonable Price, Clean, Very Well Run, Covered Storage if desired. We kept our boat there for two summers and always felt as though they were ready to do what was needed to make our time there a good experience. I was especially impressed at the way the operators wanted our opinion on how the boat was blocked. The trip there is a bit long from Naples, but worth the trip.
Respectfully,Phil
We put in at All American last fall and left the Suburban/trailer there and then took out in Dec. and left the boat/trailer there until we returned in the spring and again left the suburban/trailer there for 2 months while we took the Mac around the south end of Florida and over to the keys. The staff is nice and the place is clean. When we bought the Endeavour we considered leaving it there, but then found our more about Charlotte Harbor Boat Storage that is right next door to All American.
The price is the same, but at All American you can't be in the yard after 8 p.m.. At Charlotte Harbor they lock the yard around 6, but you have a key and can stay on the boat there. They have nice showers, free ice and a nice low-key club house that you can use all free. Elect. is an extra $25 a month, I think, if you want it. Since we needed to stay on the boat for a while when we took out and will probably be working on it for a month or so when we go back Charlotte Harbor...
.. is the place for us. The staff is great and I believe the owners are sailboat people themselves.
If you don't need to stay on the boat All American is great, but otherwise Charlotte Harbor is good. I think they are close to the same price. We only paid a one time blocking/stand fee and if we pay by the month get 3 put-ins and take-outs a year free. Enough for our needs and we are paying a little under $240 a month for a 37 foot boat.
We are very happy with the place at this point.
One thing to consider is that I wouldn't want to take a boat in there with much over 5 feet of draft as it is at the end of about 8 miles of fresh water canals. We had no problems with 4'6". There looks to be boats in there though with more than 5 feet of draft. At the entrance to the fresh water system is a lock and from the bay to the lock can be tricky I guess. We watched the tide on that part of the trip.
Here is a picture of the lock...
...from the freshwater side. You activate it yourself and isn't that bad. If we can get through it with a brand new boat anyone can

.
Here is a google earth view...
All American is where the bottom left arrow is and Charlotte Harbor Boat Storage is just above it. The lock is about 1 mile above the top arrow.
Hope this helps someone,
Sum
