Yes. DJI drones are really well sorted out. I have owned 2, the Phantom 3, and the Mavic Pro currently. They have both been flawless. The most annoying feature so far has been that the iPhone screen does not project well in sunlight, so seeing the view from the drone can be difficult.
Talk about a First World problem! Sorry. I couldn’t help it. I want a drone like nobody’s business. But alas. One is not in my future. Unless I find the one that flew off never to be found again.

My wife has been bugging me to get a drone, she loves the cool sailing action video they can produce. So I got her a DJI Mavic Pro. Truly an amazing bit of technology. We’re both still in You Tube flight school. Select your mast top or any target and the drone will lock and follow. One of many auto flight features. It has a race mode that rocks it forward like an Apache and flies at 45kts.

The thing folds up and fits in a fanny pack. Oh yeah, the Chinese invented and built it. ;)

My wife is just the opposite - said she will disown me and throw any drone I buy in the trash. I have a couple of cowboy hats and she gets out of the car if I ever try and wear it!!!

@Kermit I know where there is one lurking in the woods of Michigan.

Try driving away next time. That’ll either shut her up or... Oh crap. I’m not man enough, either

+1 on the Mavic. It seems that there are two camps, those who see the potential with the video and those who claim to own shotguns. I like video.

I bought a Mavic Pro and am still a beginner. I used it to inspect my rig, and my roof at home, and it’s truly an amazing piece of technology.
I look forward to more pictures of my boat under sail, new perspectives on sunrise and sunset, etc.
As for privacy, I try to be careful not to fly low or close to private property or people outside my own. I respect FAA guidelines and asked permission before flying low above my boatyard. I think drone operators need to be extra careful because there are “paranoid” people who are irrationally sensitive and and might make unjustified accusations.
FYI, there’s an app called Verifly that lets you buy Drone operation liability insurance by the flight.

@Kermit I would never wear a Cowboy hat in Her car. She would put the top down and there goes the hat (Miata convertible hardtop).

The Russian hat is more like it for the anticipated weather.
