I have Sirius satellite weather on my Raymarine C-80 and love it,my wife has Verizon Droid and wondering has anyone found any app to do the same type of weather radar and much more weather conditions reporting and forcast reporting.

Nick, I use "my cast". the weather channel and weather underground both have mobile apps that i know of. they just cost more. maybe others like intellicast also.

Yes I have been searching for low cost or free app for marine weather and so many confusing app's to choose from on MaryEllen's droid,so looking for any experience using some of the many to choose from,will look at your suggestions.

Intellicast has one of the nicer weather radar maps. I'm talking about their internet site, though. Not sure if they offer an app.

I have an iPhone but most all the companies make apps for both. No one weather app is best. I have several depending what I am looking for.

The first one is nice because it tells the temp without opening the app. The red icon is the better app for forecasting wind. Or so they claim.

Accuweather and radar both have animated radar so you can track the direction and speed of storms. If a app is offered as a free one and also has paid ones, try the free one. The ones I like, I then get the paid version to kill the adverts.

I bookmark weather underground forecast and buoy information for my area. I prefer it because I can enlarge the text and graphs for my feeble eyes. These are the two I use the most.

Look at PYKL3 Radar. It is pretty good. For sailing conditions I use PredictWind. They are the best for Droid I have found. I also like Elecont Weather for 10 day forcasts. Predict Wind cost $17 per year, but I like what you get. It also works on a PC since you pay one time.

My wife likes weather bug. She watches the TV style weather video each day for a national forecast to she what her parents and sister will be getting weather wise.
