I had a yanmar 3gm replaced (by an ex friend) with a 3t7 ( a yanmar tractor engine ) and now the drive shaft coupling is hitting the bed of the boat ( never did before) when I put it in to drive. I put a pss shaft seal in about a year ago and from what I can remember the shaft from the gear box seems to be longer moving the coupling down and closer to the bed, Anyway I am not sure what he did and as we are not talking I can not ask him. I dont know if I need to pull the engine back or lift it, which I have but I seem to be at the highest that I can and there does not seem to be any more clearance. Does any one have a photo of the driveshaft in a beneteau 35 with a yanmar 3gm engine so I can try and figure out were I should put the coupling or any ideas how to fix the prob I am in thailand so remember I can not get parts easy. photo of gearbox, coupling , driveshaft, please
