dripless shaft seal

2006 Hunter 41 Ds . finally after 12 years want to convert to dripless shaft seal . . any suggestions on which make should be best for my boat.

Mike I installed a PSS dripless seal about 8 years ago on our 41DS! Love it! Make sure you put a locking collar on it though.

Practical Sailor did an article on them.I went with a LasDrop Gen II. The PSS is the most popular by far.
The hard part is getting your coupling off of the propshaft. Search on them. Tons of comnents, suggestions etc.

I don't recall a big problem with ours. I used a nut on the shaft and a gear puller.

I installed the Volvo seal on my 11/4" shaft a couple of years ago. Are gathering dust in my bilge now :) . Grease once a year and burp when going back in the water is al the maintenance needed. Love it.
