Dripless Packing??

Anyone ever try one of these new moldable drip-less packings like the one sold through West Marine on their shaft seal? It claims to be a clay-like material that contains low friction lubricating materials and requires no water for lubrication. Hence the claim for a dry bilge from a normal stuffing box application

In the process now.....

Our new C-30 is getting one, based upon a high recommendation from someone I trust, as well as my penchant for throwing money away.... no seriously, I was told that I have a real shot at a dry bilge with the dripless seal. (and if it is not dry, look for other leaks, rainwater, etc.)... cost is not excessive, and the boat *is* on the hard. -Harry
