Drip less shaft seal cooling hose fitting repair

I have an 02 B311 with Volvo drip less shaft seal. Last fall trying to remove cooling hose, the hose fitting into the hull (just aft to the stuffing box) separated. Boat is on the hard. I need to reconnect the fitting to the hull. What is the best way to do this since any failure while in the water is not something to consider?

Are you referring to the barbed hose fitting that is attached to the fiberglass shaft log? If so, check out the previous posts for "propeller shaft cooling water fitting". I believe there is enough information there to help.
