I sail singlehanded and am going to run the main halyard to the back where I sit when I motor out. Thus allowing me to steer and raise the main. I need to ad some hardware to the cabin floor but am unsure of what methods I should fasten blocks with that will hold up will out pulling the floor out.

Alternatives to drilling

I too have the same situation. If you are interested, here's an alternative to drilling into the floor... I loop a piece of 1/4" shock cord between the two aft mooring cleats, and stretch it around the front of my tiller (where the tiller extension is attached at the rubber The cord is held in place by tension. This allows me to scoot up to the mast and haul up the sail. The boat stays on a fairly steady course. The only drawback is that you can't uncleat the main halyard quickly if needed. Hope this helps. If you get an answer to your drilling question, would you mind passing it along?
