Go camouflage..
I think this is ''the look'' you are referring to. I could do the truck too.

Anchored in the autumn bay, decoys strung, Canada goose gun at ready, labrador retriever on the swim scoop...no back stay anymore...

The tan colors look great with Hunter blue hull stripes.

Wife likes Gucci or Herme patterns, told her no pimping my ride.

Would attract the ladies, remember this sailor ?

Last pic is a boat show one with a patterned fabric on the Beneteau she liked.

Hey Sum..... the Endeavor looks like Pacific Blue... that's what I have. http://www.sailrite.com/Sunbrella-6001-0000-Pacific-Blue-60#.UtM0ocKA1WA

The Mac looks darker... but it may be the lighting.....
Hi Joe, it is the lighting as it is all Ocean Blue, a little darker than the Pacific Blue, Ruth's choice and I like it also.

You are right about doing the rest of the boat to match the canvas. We now....

.... have the bottom painted to match but need to paint the boot stripe and the other old brown on the boat below the deck and around the coaming to match on both boats , but it needed it.

This green color she likes

This blue I like. She offered to sew the folding bimini cover and mainsl cover. Stalemate.

Stu is correct, no worry with dark color up here, just the 5 ft of wet coast rain...
I like the green. Very calming.

Re: Dress Code for Sunbrella Colors ?

Wow,

Everyone's tastes are personal in nature. Color to the eye differs in us all.
None are wrong, it's simply a matter of personal taste.

So, when you see a color & you think it may be the one, then it's right color.
I bought my boat in 1990, a C30. What I remember was that the canvas colors all around we're blue, a few maroon/burgundy, more blue, some green, more blue, black(really?), & more blue.

I decided on beige as I had only seen one other boat with this. With my white/beige paneled deck color & maroon hull striping, this was a good choice. And now, I see a lot more. It makes a great color, and, no heat factor.

Be outlandish, conservative or impulsive, it's your money, so it's your call.

Stretch, I would do whatever it takes to attract sailors like the one shown in your 4th picture!

I saw they have pink… I'd totally do my jib bag, main cover, tiller cover, and motor cover in that pink. It wouldn't coordinate with a single thing on my boat, but it sure would be obnoxious and annoy the hell out of other guys!

I wonder if it would be a bad thing to have an orange bimini and dodger? Would that bother the USCG if they were on a SAR mission and they saw your boat all decked out in orange?…

need a boat with attitude to do a wild color, like a Melges 32 or a Pogo, like elsewhere in the sports world.

Naaaaah…

I used to think like that. Now I just do what I want.

I'll be honest, my boat has a deep blue sheer strip, Pacific blue(ish) bottom, and blue cushions. It came with Pacific Blue Sunbrella main cover, and I've continued as I've gotten jib bag, tiller cover, motor cover, and lifeline cushions.

But it sure would be fun to go all out with a psychedelic electric colored paisley pattern! I recently discovered this goggle cover at my local REI: http://thegheek.com/product/789/ If I could do all my canvas in THAT pattern, I would SO do it. THEN my boat would have attitude beyond any sport boat thinger! Oh, yeah!
