Zack

Hello, I am with Sea Scout Ship 300 of Knoxville TN. We reciently recieved a Cat 22 as a donation, and for the most part, it's in great shape. It sat in dock for about 8 years with only cursory checkups to make sure that it wasn't sinking. My biggest problem is cleaning the inside of the boat. There is some alge and dirt buildup, along with standing water in the bilges that has to go. My question is this: is there any way besides some kind of manual pump to get the water out? It is trailered and in my front yard. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Zack

Syphon, again

Hello Zack: Lower the bow as much as possible, better still if you have a big incline on the driveway. Use a small diameter syphon hose through the anchor rode deck fitting into the water pool directly below the deck fitting. A small diameter hose is easier to work with as you will have to suck (yuk) on the hose to get the flow started. Regards, Bob B.
