Drained ballast but still hearing water in hull

Hello,
Pulled the 240 out this weekend; opened the ballast cap and it drained, as usual, on the ramp as I drove the trailer out to a flat area. I have raised and lowered the trailer since that time to get all the water out but am still hearing some amount of water. I have switched the bilge pump on (no water exiting) and I have lifted every panel on the sleeping deck (no water seen). Any ideas where the water might be trapped and can I leave it to evaporate of winter? Or do I need to perform a ballastoscopy? Thanks for your feedback.

If it's water in the ballast tank, there's absolutely no reason to worry about it. What's it going to harm?

I pulled my 260 out while draining the ballast and drove 1/10 of a mile. The water didn't seem to drain while driving. I've found that letting it drain while still on the ramp works best. Can you put it back on the ramp and try again?

What you might have done is forgot to undo the bail plug that allows air to enter or escape and if that is the case, water will trickle out of the ballast tank on your 240. Any water in the fresh water holding tank or the porta poti? In addition if no water is seen below the rear berth next to the bilge pump, look aft in the rear or front under the v berth. As for the v berth area, sometimes it could be a leak from the drain hose area under the anchor well accessed by pulling off the panel forward in the v berth area. Also check under the compression post.

Thanks for the suggestions; I did remove the plug before pulling the boat and have checked all areas as per Dave's suggestions. I have a steep grade close to home so I am going to pull it back there and let it sit for an hour. Hopefully the water drains otherwise evaporates over the winter. Best, Tim
