Drain Screen

So, I stepped off the dock and onto my 146 and stepped into 3" of water in the cockpit. Reason was some debris (small leaves) got stuck in the drain and would not let any water drain. Once i removed the leaves it flowed out like a waterfall. Any one devise a screen to put over the drain to keep it from clogging up?

My boat, a Hunter 22, has screens built in. The leaves and debris just cover the screen and the cockpit still gets water in it. I usually make sure there is no garbage left in the boat, but occasionally leaves blow into her while on the mooring ball.

Do you have a picture of the drain? Never seen where it's located in a 146.
