I have a 90 C-30, The cockpit has an access panel to the steering cables. This weekend the access area was filled with water. I've never had this problem before. I bailed it out, and looked for a drain but didn't spot one. Any clues?? Thanks

drain must be there

mine is an 88 but I can't imagine the 90 doesn't have a drain. The water in mine was very gunky and slimy when I took delivery of the boat. the drain holes aren't large and had gotten plugged with gunge. I blasted the area (after careful bailing) with a high pressure garden hose and eventually found and cleared the drain hoses. What a mess!

Its There

I have the same problem occasionally with my 90 C30. There is a drain hole at the aft end of the compartment where the steerig quadrant is. Look closely and you will find it. It drains throught the aft compartment in a small hose about 1/2 inch which drains on the stern near the exhaust outlet. You will see it if you lift the rear seat. The problem is that it fills with sand from the cockpit over time and then does not drain. I have cleared it using a coat hanger from the stern and shooting hose water through it as well from both ends. You can also take the hose off but that seemed harder.

Under the steering quadrant

You can't see it because it's a small hole under the steering quadrant at the rear of the compartment. It gets clogged with with gunk pretty easily. I just stick a hose into the drain on the outside of the transom once in a while to blast it clean.
