Our 2001 260 has the Doyle UV treated head sail. It is already starting to show signs of the weather especially the green fungus growing on the exterior when furled. Need to clean this weekend. Have any of you added a sunbrella cover or any other type of cover? Interested in hearing of any other exposure issues with this set up and options. Our,s is in fresh water and has not been pulled out to the hard for three years. Hence the prior post reguarding changing the ballast tank when in the water.

we made a jib cover
out of sunbrella and used 3 long zippers. Space the zippers so that your jibsheets come through between them and hoist it up over the furled jib with the jib halyard and tie off the bottom.

Lenght of shroud
Do you remember the length of the shroud? Did you need to put an elastic cuff on the top side? or would this foul the raising process?

has instructions on their site for making one of these. How did you arrange the zippers? I was thinking one from the top to the sheets and one from the sheets to the bottom. What am I missing?

Jib Sock/Cover
I knew this was going to be a problem and spent about a year looking for a cover for my furled jib. I found a really nice one on a Catalina sailboat web site. I think it was "Catalina Direct" or something like that. The jib cover was made for a Catalina 250 but it fit my H260 perfectly. I think it was around $150 and well worth it. I use the jib or spin. halyard to haul it up after sailing.

don't remember the length
of the top part. Just pull a small rope or twine up and measure it to the jib sheets. We just put a grommet in the top end of the cover and haul it up with that.
