I have an 2001 H260 that has a roller furling with the original doyle sails. The jib is supposed to be made entirely of "UV protected" material. Last summer we kept the boat setup on the water most of the time and found that the exposed edge of the jib got dingy from being exposed to the elements (rain, wind, city air). I am considering putting on a sacrificial strip on it to help protect it this summer. Does such a strip limit the ability to adjust the luff line and effect jib sail shape? Is it worth the ~$150 to have it put on or is the sail rugged enough to handle the elements??
