Can we use our spinnaker pole to pole out the staysail boom as it tends to swing about madly when sailing more than 120 degs ffrom the wind? Does anyone have a better solution to rolling it away and tying the boom in the centreline? We usually boom out the yankee and sail without the staysail. So we have to sail with a mainsail boom or a Trysail when dead downwind. We would like to sail with just foresails when the wind is 120 degs or more off the bow.
