I would pass on the Promariner chargers from my experience. A customer had his die when a battery internally shorted. The Promariner he had - less than 2 years old and 20 amp output - was in a totally sealed case and if it was internally fused (doubtful) there was no way to get at them. He elected to replace it with a Xantrex TrueCharge2 20 amp version and is very happy. I fused the outputs of course.

In my case I also had a battery short a cell. My older Xantrex TrueCharge 10 amp charger just blew an easy to get to internal fuse which was easily replaced. The difference in price between the ProMariner that ended up in the garbage and Xantrex TrueCharge2 wasn't that much. I would choose a smaller charger with quality and replaceable fuses over a larger one that is sealed. Unless you are a liveaboard all it means is a few more hours charging time. If you only sail weekends that is not an issue.

I have no experience with Iota but have heard good things about them. Most I install are Xantrex and they have proven reliable. I have also installed Victron and like them, a bit pricier than Xantrex.

As Stu pointed out if you are installing an Echo Charge, a product I really like, you only need or want a single output charger. Most chargers only split their output to multiple connections anyway so a 20 amp charger becomes 10 and 110 or 15 and 5 as the battery acceptance declines.

After a quick read through the manual for the ProMariner 1230 I do see that it is fused and is better quality than the one that ended up in the garbage. But you do have to set absorption times - I prefer a system like Xantrex has that takes care of this automatically. I think the Xantrex TrueCharge2 is a better charger and I know you can buy one for less than the $390 price quoted above. Prices in a quick search show about $340 for the 40 amp version shown here: http://www.xantrex.com/power-products/battery-chargers/truecharge-2-2.aspx

I have no affiliation with any company - I just install them.

And I would want an unattended charger attached properly to the batteries as well as be properly fused.
