We sailed from Baltiomoe to Chestertwon Md for the Down Riggers Weekend. What a great sail. Departed Old Bay Marina on Thursday morning with 20 to 25 knots of wind and 30 gust. A very fast sail across the Bay and into the Chester River. We made Davis Creek at about 4PM and droped the hook for the night. The Pride of Baltimore ll was anchored off Lankford Creek as we came in. What a sight. Friday morning we headed up river in much easier conditions. Sailed for a few mises the wind shifted and had to motorsail for the remainder of the trip. Docked in Chestertown at about 2PM. We waited for the tall ships to come in and were very pleased with our docking. They all were docked next to us or just behind us. More Power Boats showed up than Sail Boats did. Maybe because it was cold.

Gotta admit

I drove down saturday and watched them pull in and tie up. Impressive, the crew and captain worked by psycic telepathy with the occasional "1 round on 3" order. The guys pulling and tyding up the square sails were a team.
