Double Up On The Anti-Foul This Year?

We use Baltoplate on the bottom of our boat. It rolls on easy however the wet sanding is a pig of a job. I was thinking of putting on 2 coats this spring hoping that next season I won't have to do it.

Is that a reasonable plan?

Like any underwater coating, youll just have to sand down next year to regain that 'smooth' finish ... but simply wont have to paint.

The downside in all coatings, the 'thicker' it is the higher possibility of a 'lift' / 'crater' / 'flake off'. The thinner the better from an 'adhesion' standpoint.
