Me and my family planing the short 3 day trip to Door county. Could anybody from the area give us an advice, were to launch a bout, park the trailer for 3 days, were to go and what to see. Lots of questions, but I hope somebody could help. Thanks

There is a launch ramp at Potawatomi State Park. I am not sure if there is a ramp in Fish Creek. Stick to the bay side. We stayed at Alibi Yacht club in Fish Creek. Horseshoe Island was a nice anchorage for the night, but watch out for a South Wind. Take in a Fish Boil.

Make sure your have charts. There are lots of shallows and things to avoid. Egg Harbor has a shallow area that is not on the charts and is not marked. As you go north and turn into the harbor, make sure you stick to the middle of the harbor cuz close to the south shore it goes from 25ft to 5 ft just lilke that.
All the marinas have launch ramps.
As Juice said, you can anchor at Horseshoe Island but there isn't a lot of room. If there is a south wind, just anchor in Nicolet Bay in Penninsula State Park right off the the nice beach area. There are nice hiking & biking trails in Peninsula Sate Park. Also a look out tower to climb and a lighthouse to tour.

Thanks a lot for the info, we are planing to go on Memorial day weekend, would it be too crowded?
