Lack of experience maybe?
I watch and watch and watch. For the life of me, I think this is more or a lack of experience event. Not having all the details, it is very hard to accertain what really happened. Maybe the guy "thought" that since he was a sailboat, he was suppose to maintain his course and the "powered" vessel should have moved. Then when he realized the ferry wasn't moving, he attemped to turn. Again, lack of experinence of his boat might have caused him to turn the worng way.I don't think the kid on the bow had any clue what was happening. But it does look like a passenger on the aft starboard quarter was preparing to jump.Bad, real bad. I'm glad that I always give way to any vessel approaching me.
