On my Yanmar 18, the fuel hoses are so short that the bolts get loose every time I go out. My mechanic recommended routine tightening after every trip, using 14 mm closed-end wrench at the pump and 17 mm at the fuel pump. Sure enough, I stripped one of the bolts at the pump, requiring a major rework. My touch was not all that hard, but those aluminum threads just can't take much torque. At any rate, that's how you reduce the ceaseless drip at the pump.

Hmmmmmmmmm .....................

............... with advice like "tightening the bolts every time you use the engine" it's a wonder he didn't try to install some little gizmo (perhaps a tiny little hand) that came out and tightened the bolts every time the engine was turned on. Definitely a case of a temporary cure causing severe damage. Condolances, s/v Island Hunter

Fuel Filter Bleed Screw

If you had problems with the threads stripping on the fuel pump then be careful when tightening the bleed screw on the Yanmar fuel filter - those treads strip really easily.
