DON’T Bring your boat to Lake Minnetonka!

There are very few sailboats on the Upper Lake any more. I would guess less than a dozen keel boats and maybe twice that number of dinghies and scows.

My boat is small enough for me to lower the mast while in the water and cross under the bridge to the Lower Lake. But to make it worth the trouble I would want it to be for more than just an afternoon. Do you know if there any short term/transient slips available for just a few days? I was unable to find any last time I looked.

I would say prime time has passed, but there will always be sailors. And you never know.. One of the next generations may be moved back towards sailing due to the ecological aspects and wanting to be closer to nature.. i used to power boat, and i never realized the difference in how connected you feel to the sea/air when sailing..
I dunno...I see quite a few young people out crusiing and publicizing it on their YouTube channels.
