Does the rudder point forward or aft?

This may be silly, but I would like to know which way the sharp point of the rudder faces? When I installed my new Idasailor rudders, the sharp point was forward. They work really good. The original rudders on my 26X were mounted with the round part forward when sailing. Which is correct?

It works like an airfoil or wing to produce "lift". The thick edge goes forward.
