I have installed them and used them extensively on our prior boat. They are easy to sew on if you have access to a heavy duty machine. Can by done by hand, but that takes a fair amount of time and efford. (p.s. be sure to only use uv resistant dacron thread) Ours did not fail in frequent sailing with winds gusting to 40 knots. A really nice benefit is that you can switch sails on a dual slot foil by simply dropping the sail on the deck with a stopper in the slot and switching back without having to take the sail off the foil. This will also allow you to use a conventional jib bag instead of having to install a sacrificial UV cover for longer term storage.
