Hey Tim: I just noticed you're from Portland ME. Have you ever been to Tenants Harbor, which is near Portland (closer to Rockland, I think). I worked at a summer camp there back in the '60s. It's where I was introduced to sailing. John R.

Do you have electricity and heat?

If you do, then I don't feel bad for you! We lost ours around three in the morning and still nothing. Electric company told me over the phone that it may not be restored until Wednesday!!! Thanks to Apple Computer for creating the iphone, otherwise I wouldn't be able to enjoy this site right now. By the way, I really like the snowblower/plow device, its cool!!! Manny

A little CHILLY in Houston this weekend 4 sailing!

Yankees don't hate me (or laugh at me) but I wanted to go sailing this past Saturday, but it was 48 deg and too chilly for me. Also, winds were 30kts, so I ended up just just cleaning and vacumming the bilge. Still fun, even if it was cleaning, reminded me of that saying about "...messing about on boats." Kevin B.

Kevin: I am over in Kemah and sitting on bottom with the water blown out of the harbor. We too decided to work on the boat. I have a 30 year old boat and plenty chores to do. As a side note to those with big boat-itis. I would be more likely to take out a Mac in this weather than a larger boat. I have owned both. Tony B

I Miss the snow!! Dropped down into the 30's here yesterday. I think 3 years ago after Hayden was born we had sleet..on Christmas Day. I stood outside and watched it for a long time. I am signing off for Christmas..have lots of things to do and bake. Everyonne here have a good Christmas with your loved ones and a good start to the New Year! Be well and safe all.
