As with many who have been through one or more hurricanes, have been watching all the latest developments with a great deal of interest. Looks now like everyone may dodge the bullet, at least this time. The liittle depression coming ashore in the Fl. panhandle is not going to do much damage, maybe some flooding, but nothing major. Looks like Ana is just maybe going to fizzle out as it doesn't seem to be very well organized. And Bill, which was the biggest worry, is now forecast to head up the east coast, and maybe stay far enough offshore to not be of any major concern. Of course, we won't know for sure till they are long gone, but right now sure looks better that a day or two ago.

Great News

This is all great to hear so far so good and hoping all storms and the big bad Wolf stay far far away from the USA and any other Country.
Now living in Florida I now know what it feels like owning a sailboat during this time of year.

Re: Great News

Long Island wasn't a very good place in 1938 either.

Hard to know. Pulled the boat when the two came thru last year. The longer one goes without one, the closer one is to getting one, imo...

Don't forget Gloria in '85

Scary to see what a mess even a minimal hurricane like Gloria makes up here.
Yeah Tim I'm not thrilled about Bill's current track.

What part of FL. do you live in? We are in West palm beach. What type of hurricane plan do you have? We intend to try to move Lazzarone out of harms way if at all possible but it's a little harder when you can't fit under any bridges in the intracoastal. We will have to sail offshore but we can cover 200 miles in 24 hours. Lets hope that it does not come to that but I do own a Screen Room and Shutter bussines!!!;)
