With hurricane season starting to wind down, looks like we have dodged some major bullets this time around. A couple of brushes, but with this many hurricanes coming off the Atlantic, and no major hits, looks like a good year for those of us in the zone.

Too early to call yet !! I was really concerned with Karl but the front that brought this dry air strrerd it south.. Those poor dudes have had three this year south of Brownsville! Another will form off Africa early next week ! Today was a great day on the Pontchartrain !! Scrubbed boat bottom this morning then took advantage of the nice wind.. Was wanting to go to Cat Island, but the wind was due east.. would have been a long motor boat ride.

i am pulling for you guys even as i am being told the ants in the desert are building taller than usual hills and the fur bearing critters are developing a heavier coat than normal--i am very very 'fraid!! i dislike winter --is too cold and wet here for my bones..and my blood--i am trying SO hard to get to mazatlan prior to the onset of out to be early heavy winter---

oh, yes--the thing with the ants--they do this when lots of wet is spozed to rain down on them and flood them out... the fur bearers-- just need to stay warm in cold season=--yipes.....even boatkat is growing a heavier than normal coat...

i think you guys will be fine this year--i cant say anything for or about next, however, as in may we spozedly change into regular weather...also known as alleged normal...during which your hurrycame season will be not good.... but that isnt this year..
