OK--don't laugh! But the question was put to me does anyone make a dodger for a 25.5 hunter (1984 model) I know it has a pop top, but this boat has it sealed shut, I think. Any sugestions???? Remember no laughing! Thanks, Johnny

Usually dodgers are custom designed and custom fit to a boat, even new boats. If you have a picture get your local canvas maker out to your boat for a visit. You should get your feasibility questions answered and a cost structure based on options. Good luck

Island Nautical has patterns in their computer for thousands of production boats and can deliver one in any Sunbrella color in three weeks. I installed one on my h34 in 45 minutes. I found custom canvas makers charge 50% more since they spend lots of time in measuring and design. Makes sense to egt a production made dodger for a production boat

I had a Catalina 25...
...with a pop-top. We had a dodger built and installed by a local canvas guy. There was also a canvas enclosure for the pop top. When the pop-top was raised we had to unzip the front "glass" to allow the top to rise. But this was expected and didn't cause us any problem. A dodger is necessary (IMHO) and really gives you another protected space when sailing or sitting at anchor. And shade. It certainly made the boat more comfortable in any conditions (especially rain). But when it splashes, sprays or rains, the first thing that you say is "Boy, this was worth it!". When we bought our Hunter, the thing at the top of a priority list was a dodger.
