I know Diana can only do Series I and Series II
Vegas. The coachroof of the Seies III is completely different.

Best way to see if Series III is the original
engine was the Volvo MD7A. More roughened anti-slip areas and after about
V3100.

Cheers

The most visible difference between III and II is wider (more
comfortable to sit on) cockpit coamings in III, isn't it ?

I would be surprised if there is a drawing available as canvas
workers usually cut out a plywood bending jig and bend the tubing
around it. My wife who used to do canvas work made us a new one for
our Vega. She complained that the original Vega frame did not have
any bow in the top of it. A flat top means that water will puddle
in the top and will stretch the top so the puddle gets deeper and
bigger. In truth our flat top dodger is holding up pretty well.

I replaced the frame & dodger on my Vega. Online I found John La Mole of Gemini Canvas in Rockland ME - local to me & for about what a new English one would have cost, minus the shipping - built & installed a new taller frame which is much more stable than the original in about an hour & sewed a dodger with fine brilliant larger widows in another day. I needed the stability as grand children tend to swing themselves down into the cabin & grand fathers need a good grab rail to hang on to. Let me know if you want the old frame & canvas dodger ... Easily shipped... from myphone nn

Sailrite has some reasonably priced kits for dodgers. A friend of ours with a canvas shop built Lyric's dodger as a Cruising to Mexico gift. A few things we had added were zippers on top for a flexible solar panel and a pocket under the top for charts. It worked well but there are a few things I would add if having a new one made. Pockets on the inside of the dodger for a rigging knife, a flashlight and binoculars would be nice. Grab rails on the sides would add strength and make it easier when going forward. A zipper on the aft edge that you can attach some form of a bimini to could be helpful. Every bit of shade is welcome in a hot climate. Just my thoughts. Any others?
