Dodger vs Bimini for O'day 23

Does anyone have experience with a dodger or bimini on an O'day 23 (1984). I'm about to install either a Dodger or a Bimini and am looking for opinions on which way to go and if it's a dodger are there some good better or best design choices to make before I invest. JohnNewport Rhode Island

They do different things!

Dodger's are great for keeping water out of the cockpit and spray off my wife. Also keep water from spraying down companionway. Bimini great for keeping excess sun off crew and rain off theskipper whileeveyone else goes below decks!If you have to decide between both I would pick the dodger for your area, when you get into some nasty weather you will thank me!
