Hi to all, i have just taken delivery of a new first 40.7 and was considering having a dodger. the local trimmer is not sure how to design one for this model, so i was interested if anyone has had a dodger made for th efirst 40.7 and was able to share the design method (line drawing would be ideal) and any other consideration. many thanks sal (sydney)

Seperate panels

Sal, while it's not on a 40.7, we chose a dodger that has seperate panels for the front and both sides. On a hot summer day we unzip and remove the side panels, unzip and roll up the forward panel and enjoy lots of good air rushing through. I also had them add sunbrella covers for over each of the glass panels which has kept them in very good condition over the past 6 years. Mike

we have 5 seperate panels

Sal, We have 3 panels in front and one panel on each side, they can all be taken off individually and it works well. on cold days it provides a lot of protection for the wind almost thruout the cabin. On warmer days we like to open the middle window, and keep two side panels, this will protection for the seats and still vent the cockpit nicely for those down there. Sunny days they are all gone and we just leave the roof to shade the area. when not in use we remove all panels which is quick with zippers, specially during winter. Thesums Pete's looks way nicer than ours, but we like the panels and the fact they can be removed and tweaked.
