Seafarer 30 Holyrood, NL
Hi all,
I have recently purchased a Seafarer 30 (1984) and am looking to add a dodger. I've contacted a couple of makers but they do not have a pattern. Does anyone know if a pattern exists, have a doger for sale or know where I can find an old one to use for a pattern?
Thanks.

Dodgers vary based on the requirements of the skipper. Our PO was v ery, very short, so he made a low dodger. Boy, am we glad he did! Instead of having to look through plastic all day when we're out sailing, we can see OVER the dodger.

Even the same boats can have different dodgers, because the frames and the patterns for the glazing can differ.

You should find someone who wants to work with you to design a dodger that works for you.

No matter what you do, make sure that you install side-rail handholds so when you forward you have something to hold on to. It's a safety issue.

Good luck.
