Go with the Dodger

If you've got spray coming over the bow you'll want the dodger, also as previously stated when it's raining it keeps the rain out of the companionway. If it's hot you can open the middle flap to let the breeze through. If I had to give up the bimini or dodger the bimini would go.

We had full covers for the window areas made as well. They protect the windows from the UV rays when we are not there and can give us a little privacy if we want it. We also have a bridge to the bimini. The other option we went for is the handrails both on the trailing edge of the dodger and on the sides. These things ran the price up but are well worth it. I converted my bimini frame to a "strapless" design to make going forward a little easier. Where on LI are you? I grew up in Massapequa. Tom s/v Orion's Child

by this weekend. Boats in the water, being completed this week. We'll be out on the 'Bay' this weekend. I'm not sure how long we'll last but at least we'll be out there. By all means drop by, look forward to meeting fellow sailers in the area.
