Has anyone installed a dodger from "Island Nautical" onto their sailboat? I am thinking of purchasing one from them as its one of the items listed on the Hunter 37 site for products specifically for sale for my model of boat, the Legend 37 launched in 1988. It looks like the closet boat matching my boats specs is the hunter 37.5. Am I correct and does anyone any advise for me. Thanks, Barrie

Contact Karisa in the chandlery

Hi Barrie - The 37.5 has a different deck layout than your 37. I checked the chandlery on www.hunterowners.com, and they have two Island Nautical dodgers listed for Hunter 37 - one patterned for a 1980 and one for a 1982 (probably Cheribini designed boats). I'd contact Karisa at "karisa@sailboatowners.com" and see if she has a pattern for the 1988 Legend 37 you are looking for. We are pleased with our Island Nautical dodger ordered from this site. The installation instructions that come with the dodger aren't the easiest to understand, but if you have a helper it's not too tough to get it fitted well once you get the hang of it. Great value and good looking dodger. Best of luck, Trevor

Island Nautical Dodger on Cat30

I am in the process of installing an I/N Dodger on my '77 Catalina 30. I would suggest you have someone to help you. The positioning of the frame mounts is so very critical, along with the first four attachments to the fiberglass. I am lucky, drilled several holes and finally got it right...no harm to an older boat...just a little repair to do. The quality of their product appears to be pretty good and with my dodger halfway installed, it looks pretty sharp and will definitely provide what I'm looking for for partial shelter / wind break.
