Dick - I've wanted to add a dodger to my boat for a while too. Hopefully it will happen this winter. In light of a recent thread on another topic I'll put out the caveat that I work for this site - that said I've found our own chandlery to be a great source of excellent gear at reasonable prices. you may find cheaper stuff but you'll be hard pressed to find stuff for the price of similar quality. Call Karissa at 206-WEB-SAIL for information. The other option I'm pursuing is getting a kit through sailrite and building it myself. I'm handy so I'm not afraid of the project and the prices are excellent. If you don't own a good sewing machine yet you'll need to factor that in. Justin - O'day Owners' Web
Dick, Ihave concidered a dodger on my 22 also, but the boom is pretty low.I could raise the boom and shorten the luff on the sail, but then I would loose square feet of sail area. any thoughts?
