Dodger conversion to Catalina 27

Anybody have an educated guess if a dodger built custom for a 1980 catalina 30 would be close to fitting a Catalina 27?

I have built one for each, not a chance! You could make a 30 fit a 27 but you'd have to sew and cut tubing etc

Would it be a good starting point though, or a reasonable way to get a dodger? Buy this one cheap and have a canvas company make it fit?

That I can't answer? I know the two boats to be similar but....not. Cannas guys will most likely find it more of a headache (time) to modify than just build a new one. Time = $$$
