I am thinking of selling my 30 Catalina. One thing is that the boat is documented. Are there any special things I need to do as far as the documentation goes? (I'd like to sell the boat myself vs. a broker)
The buyer can either go thru a documentation "agent" who will charge them somewhere in the range of $400 to do it or they can get on the USCG website & do it themselves for under $100.Either you or they can print up the forms directly from the website (you'll need two copies of most of them). Pretty straightforward & easy to do if you read the directions thoroughly. The website is www.uscg.mil/hq/g-m/vdoc/nvdc.htmLaDonna
Contact the Coast Guard for details about selling a documented boat or search the internet for detials. I know from previous experience that it's not difficult.Where's the boat and what are you asking for her. I'm looking for a boat now. Please reply @ PaulShoe2@aol.com or call 716-442-1002Thank you.Paul
