I feel like a schmuck asking this question but I must have walked around the deck three times today looking for a place to plug in dock power to my 1986 25.5. There is a 110 outlet under the ladder leading from the cockpit to the cabin. Above it there is a light that says "shore power." Since this is primarily designed as a cruising boat I would have thought there would be an outlet to plug in shore power but if it is there I couldn't find it. Would someone tell me if indeed this particular model boat had an outlet for shore power or was that an option? I suppose I could add one if necessary.

Don't have a 25.5, but...

The 25.5 manual at the "resources" tab above (go to "owners manuals," about four items down) says AC power was not available on 25.5 or smaller. Does the 110 plug and light look factory or after market? Either way, there ought to be a circuit breaker and reverse polarity light on the electricsl panel, or somehere in the cabin. Plug locations obviously vary greatly, but try the cockpit (where mine is on my 34) or maybe the stern (I've seen some other Hunters with plugs there). Good luck... -HH
