DampRid is calcium carbonate

I put my used ones in a garbage back and then it all leaked in the back of my car. Calcium Carbonate explains why it rusted the metal in my trunk so quickly!

Oops, it‘s actually calcium CHORIDE. I just edited my previous post to correct my mistake. Nasty stuff in either your trunk or your bilge.
