That is the flag I am speaking of.

I am not the most superstitious person but I have decided that I will never ever fly this flag. I bought the flag to fly instead of my Jolly Roger because my wife (at the time) hated Ol' Roger. It was a compromise.

The day that I began to fly the flag on my boat bad things began to happen. The first day that I flew it I had someone up the mast working on a new windex on the boat. While up there he dropped my brand new wratchet from the top of the mast, it hit the deck and bounced into the water. It gouged the deck.

The first day of my vacation last year I had anchored. I used the grill for the evening and after it cooled I went to put it away. As soon as I removed the regulator a part of my grill dropped overboard and I was unable to locate it.

Two days later I was in Deltaville and my anchor drug during the night because of a wind shift. I ended up on a sand bar. At 2 in the morn I had to winch off the sandbar with the anchor that had reset and then reset the anchor.

I went to replace the piece of the grill and the original piece had been replaced so my regulator didn't work on the new piece. I didn't find out until I went to use that grill that evening. The next day I replaced the regulator.

After that I had one more mis-hap during the trip. After the mishap I took down the flag.

The history of the flag is that it is supposed to be a viking war flag. Supposedly the commander that flew this flag would win the battle but the commander would die in the battle. After I read up more on the history it was time to take it down.

I have to mention too that after I bought this flag the job problems and divorce started.

Call me superstitious but I will NEVER fly that flag again!

Woah

Wow, I had the same emblem. Not in flag form but a sticker on the transom above the outboard of my first boat, until the outboard caught fire and burned off the transom.
