Hello All,
I had another project that I thought might help in sail boat repairs. I traded a hunting layout boat for a shotgun. This new to me shotgun had been refinished by the previous owner with a can of Rustoleum. I bought a kit of Dura Bake gun refinishing, and it works on almost any surface. You scuff up your parts, spray this stuff on and bake in the oven. You bake for 15 min at 350, or 3 hrs at 180. It looks like powder coat, and comes in dozens of colors. They claim it is salt water safe too. My wife now has a pink Benellli.

happy sails!

Todd

Does anybody know if a powder coat is available for the Harbor Freight system that leaves a rough more abrasive finish?

The Harbor Freight website description of their powder coat paints is for a smooth gloss or semi-gloss finish.

I've seen commercial powder coats that are rough -- such as the surface that Harken puts on their black winches.

It is for my worn down to smooth winches that I have interest in the rough coat option.
