I'm in the process of rebuilding the heat exchanger and replacing all coolant pipes in my yanmar 2gm20f. The shop manual shows a pressure tester the replaces the radiator cap on the heat exchanger so you can pump up the pressure to 15 psi and look for leaks or see if raw water is being forced out of the heat exchanger by a leak. Was going to mount a Schrader valve through the old radiator cap and use a bike pump. Any thoughts!? Can I buy or rent a real pressure tester?
Thanks
Dan

you can get one at any NAPA store or go to the snap-on tool man and get one from him...but know that the snap-on one will be pricey as he** ...also advanced auto, auto zone,o rilies as well...or do a search on google and you will find them

If you can fit a suitable pressure guage and the bicycle pump can do the pressure, you're good to go. just don't go crazy and pump away >>15psi ;)

Yup.. a valve added to the cap and gentle, careful pumping .. just fine for a pressure test.
