Is anyone scuba diving off your boat with a walk through transom? Are you using any protection for the fibreglass? How are you storing the tanks?

I leave the tank in rear berth cushion when not using. Have tank boot for the bottle bottom.

have walk thru transom,but do not try to traverse with gear on. I inflate BC and throw overboard tied to a dock line and gear up in the water.also have gasoline powered hooka compressor i just keep lashed down on bow deck.

I also use soft weights. Less banging around on the fibreglass.

Could you tell me about your experience with hooka? Wife and I are thinking about going that route rather than tanks and (possibly) compressor.
