40.5 Divided anchor Locker

Does anyone have a divided anchor locker to separate rode for main and spare anchor. If so what can you tell me about the dividing panel. Factory or home made? Looking for ideas.

Thanks, Mike

search for Greg Delezynski's videos on youtube... he is a member here, sails Guenevere, a Norsea27 and has a great, simple solution for doing exactly that.... plus many other good ideas to browse thru..
he will chime in eventually and send you a link....

Michael, yes, many of our skippers have done that. Your choice of materials, but starboard seems to be the best. Make a cardboard template, try it out, then cut twice, measure once...:)

I did it on my 410 templated it out of cardboard and then used marine plywood with fiberglass fabric over it. Glassed it into place in the anchor locker. Came out great and has worked well for a long time.....

The early 40.5s had a single locker. A spacer was added by the factory sometime over the production run or as a factory option.
Check out pictures of some of the 40.5s for sale on Yachtworld to get an idea of the deign.
