I was just wondering if anyone that has a H34 has a dinette table that actually folds down into a bed? I have looked and have seen the hinges but I also have a silverware box that is built into the table and with the raised plastic hump dividing the floor space it doesn't look like the table could do this. Plus the leg of the table doesn't seem to move. I called the 1st owner last night and they said that they were sure that it did make into a bed...help?

Yes it makes a bed

We've got an H34, and it was a real challenge to get the table and post out the first time. Try spraying a little WD-40 around the base and top of the pole, then pull hard. Once you finally get the table lifted up off the pole, and the pole out of the floor you can remove the table. Lower the edge of the table, then lift up at the back where it clips into the wall. Once its out, it justs sets down on the seats to form the bed. Although its not much of a bed because the cushions don't really fit that well. Makes a very lumpy place to sleep. Good Luck, Mike

H34 Bed

Yep, makes a bed. As previously said, it can take some work to pull everything apart the first time, or if it hasn't been apart for awhile. And I'm not sure who designed the way the cushions fit together. I sometimes hope that there is a special spot in an afterlife where people who design things like this get to sleep on them night, after night, after night.... But if you're looking for a place for a couple of small children, you know the kind that can sleep anywhere and wake up without an ache in their bones, well you've found the spot. Fair winds,

we use it

We have been using our table/bed since we got our boat in '92 and love it. It does take a minute or two to set up and take down (it also forces me to fold up and store the bedding), but there is soooo much room. Very little crawling over and head and knee bumping. To compensate for the lumpy cushions, although mine have a layer of soft foam on the top, we have one of those "egg-crate" mattress covers. Of course we cruise with just the two of us and a parrot.
