Hi all,
We've been using our dingy(10 foot RIB) quite a bit lately and have had to motor into some chop. I never adjusted the outboard trim but now have been playing with different angles. What I would like is to reduce the amount of spray that comes aboard when we get a foot or more of chop. We tried standing, going fast, going slow, odd angles, head-on, sitting forward, sitting in the back, mid ship, and backing up so I'm thinking maybe its time to look at the owners manual which shows a happy guy and the sun shining. (I think he's wearing flip-flops.)
The thought of just going faster is limited because there are Manatee nearby. We usually get the wind to our back for the ride in to the docks, but the return is always a soaking. My apologies ahead of time if you're snowbound or in minus temps. Like Stu says, your boat, your choice.
