Has anyone used a "Dinghy Tow"? It lifts the stern of your dinghy, w/engine out of the water, and tows it backwards. It looks like a good system. The web site has testimonials, and I'm sure the sales people are honest, I'm just looking for independent reviews. Thank you, Marc

My neighbor has one. I have seen it on his boat, but not in action. He raves about it. It's probable fine to tow the dingy for short distances with the engine on, but he takes the engine off. Maybe he doesn't like the weight on the system. He says it's really convenient loading and off-loading the engine from the dingy with it's stern lifted and setting right in front of you. The height can be individually adjusted on each side to compensate for heeling. He is a mechanical engineer and is impressed with the design and quality. My only problem with it, as you probably already know, is that it is pretty expensive. Bob Miller 37C "Gusty Getaway"

Met the manufacturer

I met the guy who invented dingy tow. He is a sailor at heart and develpoped it using his own boat as a test bed and tried it on a lengthy bahamas cruise. I bet it works well based on my discussions with him. By the way, at the time, he was not trying to sell it to me. Warren
