My old (1991) Avon Dinghy is in pretty good shape except the rubrail is coming loose from the tubes. About two years ago I put it in an inflatable repair shop here in Ft. Myers, to have the rubrail reglued, but it is worse than ever today. About 4' is hanging loose on one side and 2' on the other. I would appreciate any info on how to reglue the rubrail to the tubes: type of glue, technique, etc. Thanks in advance.

Go to West Marine

Our West Marine people are very helpfull here. I worked there a couple years ago and they have (should have) everything you should need. Good luck. Dean

Have you considered calling the

manufacturer of the boat and asking them?

I can imagine that's frustrating, having had it repaired and ending up worse off. First, is it PVC or Hypalon? It's important to know. Glue and procedure will be different depending on material.
