I have to place numbers on our inflatable dinghy. Has anyone got a suggestion as to the best paint to use for this? I have been told that Vinyl paint would work. Can anyone give me a hint on what brand to use? I plan on making a stencil and spray painting them on.

I have had vinyl letters on my hypalon dink for 3 years. The letters were made at a local sign shop (thanks Glenn).

The skin if ready to be replaced (1994). The dink has spent it's life outside.

I used BOATNUMBERPLATE.COM and have been very satisfied. You can purchase it at WM and they will ship to you in about 1 week. You will need a small tube of glue and a cleaner.

I bought some stencil letters and numbers in a local Staples store. Using a water and chemical resistant magic marker pencil which I also found in Staples,I traced the letters and numbers on the sides of the dinghy and then colored them in . Total cost was about $10.00. Has worked great for a year now. Worst case is I have to touch them up a littleas the sun fades them, but thats a 10 min job.

I did mine with a permanent magic marker about eight months ago. I just touched them up a few weeks ago. So far so good.

How well does the state registration sticker... stick? Or did you find an alternate way to stick it?

Thanks
